Vrachos village is situated less than 32 km away from the city of Preveza, 30 km from Parga and 60 km from Igoumenitsa.

You can also organize several day trips to Parga, Lefkada, Paxos, Antipaxos, Ioannina and Corfu.

Beautiful nearby beaches are Alonaki, Kerenza, Artholithia, Ammoudia, Monolithi, Kastrosykia, Kanali and Lichnos (Parga).

It is also worth visiting the unique canyon of Acherontas, the archeological site of Nekromanteio, the archeological site of Nikopolis and of Cassope, the historic Zalongo, the oracle of Dodoni and the Amvrakikos Gulf - one of the biggest wetlands in Greece.

Beaches

Alonaki beach

Just next to Pantokratoras village, 1 km away, you can find Alonaki. The beach with the golden sand, crowded with infrastructures for unforgettable vacation. 

Kerentza Beach

A picturesque bay lying between the beaches of Alonaki and Ammoudia. Shingles with bushes surround the sandy beach with fine sand and shallow waters. 

Artolithia Beach

A picturesque place and an amazing beach that overlook the Ionian Sea at complete peace.Probably the word Artolithia derives from the byzantine word “Ortolithia”. 

Ammoudia Beach

The bay at the mouth of the river Acheron. Magnificent scenery with wide sandy beach and fine sand and rocks on the north side.

Monolithi Beach

The beach extends for many kilometers along the so called periurban forest, with deep waters and big waves in the afternoon, giving you the sense of the ocean.

Kastrosykia Beach

The village of Kastrosykia lies very close to Kanali village and it has a so called beach. The beach is sandy and the waters shallow, ideal to families with small children.

Kanali Beach

Just 15 km away from Preveza, at a place gifted with incomparable natural beauties, the coastal village Kanali, famous for its beautiful beach and the clear bluewaters.

Lichnos Beach

The beach Lichnos is one of the most beautiful and popular beaches in Parga, located in a green landscape.

Sights

Acherontas River

A unique natural and historic monument in Greece. Plane trees bending over gurgling fountains seem to be begging for water.

Nekromanteion

The placement of Nekromanteion on a hill at the confluence of Acheron river with its tributaries is associated with the ancient beliefs of the underworld. The path followed by the souls of the dead to Hades.

Archaeological site of Nikopolis

Nowadays, the magnificent monuments of the region are still irrefutable witnesses of thousands years of life of Ancient Nikopolis.

Zalongo Monument

It is the famous historic place at the so called mountain that became a symbol to love for freedom. This is a unique event in world history.

Archaeological site of Cassope

Cassope, capital of Cassopaea, was built before the mid-4th century BC, in a naturally fortified location, within a plateau, at an altitude of 550-650 m, on the slopes of Zalongo.

Amvrakikos gulf

Amvrakikos Gulf is one of the biggest wetlands in Greece, both in size and importance. A wetland of big aesthetic and ecological value.
